This private villa with swimming pool set in its own gardens, shadowed by tropical plants and flowers offers: Three double bedrooms, two with en-suite and a further bathroom. Two of the bedrooms are ground floor; one has French doors leading to the veranda. The master bedroom is upstairs with doors to a very large sunny terrace, where the views are of the Mar Menor. The lounge is spacious with a fireplace, and there is under-floor heating should it ever be required in winter. There is a separate dining area and a well-equipped kitchen with French doors leading to a terrace.

La Manga Del Mar Menor Costa Calida/Murcia
Costa Calida means 'WARM COAST' and is situated to the south of the Costa Blanca, on the east Mediterranean coast, starting with the Province of Murcia and runs south towards Almeria. Costa Calida has breathtaking mountains, fertile agricultural land and miles of beautiful Blue Flag beaches making this a very typically un spoilt part of Spain. The weather on the Costa Calida is the best in Spain .
Winters are warmer and drier than any other part of Spain making the climate not only enjoyable but also beneficial from a health point of view. The average year round temperature is 20°C and there are approximately 320 days of sunshine per year, low humidity and very low rainfall making it a near perfect climate. The Mar Menor
The Mar Menor (or 'small sea') located on the Costa Calida, is the largest natural saltwater lagoon in Europe and waters sustain temperatures of approximately 17 degrees centigrade average per year. It is a unique spot offering clean water with peaceful, tide- free bathing on pleasant shores, whatever the time of year. The Mar Menor was created a little over 1000 years ago. Originally a safe little bay, offering shelter for even large ships, it became a natural lagoon when sediments from the sea built up on a small underwater mountain range and closed off the inlet with a sandbar. On its Western side is mainland Spain , and on its Eastern side is La Manga de Mar Menor, a strip of land,
The La Manga Strip or Sleeve
The descriptive name of La Manga ("the sleeve") refers to an interesting geographical layout which has become one of the symbols that best identifies the coast of Murcia as a tourist resort: a chain that stretches along approximately 24 km from Cabo de Palos to the Punta del Mojón, and is the natural limit of the salt water lake known as the Mar Menor. Originally, what is now known as La Manga del Mar Menor was a bay open to the Mediterranean; at either end, volcanic reefs gradually held back the sand and sediment that was dragged along by the sea currents to form a sandy column of dunes and rock vegetation and long beaches in contact with two seas: the Mediterranean and the Menor.
La Manga is a narrow piece of land with a width that varies between 30 m and 500m. It is cut off by natural channels that keep the two seas in contact with each other; the so-called golas allow water from the Mediterranean into the lake. As such, the space was untouched until the 60s, when La Manga was discovered as a tourist resort and underwent a transformation which included the urbanisation of the area and the construction of tourist infrastructures.

RESERVATION DEPOSIT: A non-refundable deposit of 20% is required to secure the apartment for your chosen dates. The balance is due 6 weeks before travel. If travel is within 6 weeks of booking the full amount is required to be paid.
SECURITY BOND: £200 security bond required with the balance of the rental cost. Refunded within 10 days of your departure (subject to inspection) once the keys have been safely returned to us, and assuming no damage has been caused to the villa.

Only a short distance from the Murcia airport making the La Manga strip easy to visit. Many discount airlines from the UK fly into the airport. The La Manga strip is also home to every water sport imaginable, and includes scuba diving, snorkeling, wind and kite surfing. Other may simply want to go for a swim, or bask in the sun. The choice is yours.
La Manga del Mar Menor can be reached from Murcia San Javier (MJV) and Alicante El Altet (ALC) Airports. Car rental and taxis are available at both airports. The drive to La Manga takes 45 minutes from Murcia and 90 minutes from Alicante Airports.
The historic cities of Cartagena (30 mins away) and Murcia (60 mins drive) are well worth visiting for sightseeing and high class shopping. Cartagena is full of historic architecture, has many museums, and a historic marina with tourist trips around the Port.
Inland from the strip is the world renowned La Manga Golf Club which is home to a 5 star hotel, casino, bars and restaurants alongside three championship golf courses
The Costa Calida is served well by two airports; Alicante which is 90 minutes by car and Murcia (San Javier) which is 40 minutes by car. There are many Low cost airlines such as Ryanair, My Travel Lite, EasyJet, Jet2, BA, Monarch and Flybe, all fly to the region and new routes are being released all the time.
Murcia San Javer Flights are available from nine different airports in the UK and through six different, UK based low cost airlines. The flying times for all flights to Murcia Airport from the Uk is around 2 hours and 30 minutes

We wanted a week break out of the school holidays and was blessed with good weather all week, we all played in the pool everday, sunbathed, day trips out, etc. The Villa was spotless and i could'nt fault it,

The villa extremely well equipped and what a very homely feeling. We had a fantastic holiday with most of it was spent at the villa. Round the swimming pool throughout the day and dining alfresco on an evening around the BBQ, heaven!
