La Manga Dreams Holiday Rentals Results of 2011 Survey
Those looking to rent there holiday apartments and villas are being advised that they may need to do more when it comes to furnishing and decorating the apartments and villa in order to meet holidaymaker’s expectations.
During 2011 we did a survey of all guest staying at the properties we manage, the report found that visitors are increasingly searching for "levels of luxury equal to, if not better than, at home".
Our survey found that holidaymakers expected to have a internet connection (which of course is not really feasible), satellite or cable TV (English TV Channels for the UK Guests) and a DVD player with a wide selection of films, Radio, a pool, good quality bedding/good standard towels and good condition cooking utensils, (European guests expected a coffee machine or percolator Filter Coffee Maker) and a high level of space and comfort with air-conditioning as standard.
For many holiday makers over the years a holiday rental has been little more than a place to sleep and change in-between spending days on the beach and nights in the bars and restaurants, and as such owners of holiday homes could get away with providing sparsely furnished holiday rentals which were basic in the amenities that they offered.
This is no longer the case, and any property owners looking to secure good quality rental returns to cover some of their holiday home costs are going to have to ensure that their rental homes offer much better and more modern facilities than in years gone by

Our Property Management Packages
It is reassuring to know that someone is inspecting and checking your investment whilst you are away. Our property management packages ensure that absent owners have peace of mind that the property is being regularly visited, and our lamangaholidaylettings reports, including photographs, will make sure that you know the exact condition of your home.
From a one-off visit to a full annual premium package, we have something to suit every owner´s needs and budget.
Option 1 : Basic Advertising & Management Package
20% depending on location
Advertising & Booking Service on Our Web Sites
Owners are only permitted to use there apartment or villa for their own use or their own bookings 1 week in July and August
If Owners require to use the apartment or villa for more that 1 week a fee of 20% of the advertised rental rate will be required
Owners are permitted to use as many weeks as they require throughout the remainder of the year
Owners and guests will need to pay the final cleaning fee to ensure the apartment or villa is ready at all times
Owners will need to do a pre-season spring clean and insure that all electrical appliances are fully operational
The exchanges of keys to your property for your own booking between 7.30am and 19.00hrs
Monthly property check
External & Internal inspection
Check internally for signs of damp
Open windows and air property
Flush all toilets and run all taps
Check for leaks
Test all lights
Water all indoor plants
Notify owner of any necessary repairs
Email status report & photographs
Keyholding included, plus one free call out per year
Call out service. 25€ which includes 1 hr of waiting time – subsequent hours charged at 15€ ph.
Option 2 : Standard Advertising Management Package
£360.00 per year,depending on location
Advertising & Booking Service on Our Web Sites 15% of all bookings gained by us
Owners are permitted to use as many weeks as they require throughout the year
Owners and guests will need to pay the final cleaning fee to ensure the apartment or villa is ready at all times
Free pre-season spring clean and insure that all electrical appliances are fully operational
The exchanges of keys to your property for your own booking between 7.30am and 21.00hrs
Inspect property twice per month
Test all lights
Test all kitchen appliances
Check all shutter and blinds are operational
External & Internal inspection
Check internally for signs of damp
Open windows and air property
Flush all toilets and run all taps
Check for leaks
Water all indoor plants
Notify owner of any necessary repairs
Email status report & photographs
Keyholding included, plus 3 free call outs per year
Call out service. 25€ which includes 1 hr of waiting time – subsequent hours charged at 15€ ph.
Swimming Pool and Garden maintenance @ 120.00 euro per month + pool chemicals
Option 3 : Premium Advertising Management Package
£750.00 per year,depending on location
Advertising & Booking Service on Our Web Sites 12% of all bookings gained by us
Owners are permitted to use as many weeks as they require throughout the year
Owners and guests will need to pay the final cleaning fee to ensure the apartment or villa is ready at all times
